Angel Fitor

Angel Fitor is a natural history photographer with a lifelong vocation for the natural world. With an academic background in both photography and marine biology, he has dedicated his life to giving a voice to aquatic ecosystems. Since the 1980s, he has worked on projects for prestigious clients such as National Geographic, Smithsonian, GEO, UNESCO and Netflix. Angel’s work has received awards at the most influential photography contests of our time, including World Press Photo, Wildlife Photographer of the Year, American Photography, and Sony World Photography. In 2021, he was named European Wildlife Photographer of the Year by the German Society of Nature Photographers. The same year, Forbes Magazine ranked him 7th out of the 50 most awarded Spaniards. Alongside his own production, he works as a scientific consultant for leading broadcasting companies such as Silverback Films and BBC NHU. Angel firmly believes in photography as a vehicle for building awareness and empathy for the natural world.
