Bau Ca Cai mangrove forest
Vietnam
Category - Reasons for Hope

A word from the photographer: “Bau Ca Cai mangrove forest is a place where 50 hectares of Lumnitzera racemosa trees were planted. The government plans to plant more of these trees in order to protect the forest and the land by breaking waves, and to improve the ecological local environment. This is part of the project “Increasing resilience to the impacts of climate change for vulnerable coastal communities in Vietnam” by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) in collaboration with the Government of Vietnam.”
