Tom Gilks is the Managing Director and Head of Content at Nature Picture Library (NPL), a specialist collection of Wildlife and Natural History photography and footage. NPL represents many of the most talented and recognised photographers in their field. The agency supplies innovative and engaging content to leading global publications and commercial clients. Previously, Tom was the Picture and Video Editor at BBC Wildlife Magazine for 9 years. After studying ecology at university, he worked for several picture agencies and freelanced as a picture researcher before spending three years living in East Africa working as a photographer with various NGOs. Tom is a member of the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP) and part of the editorial review board for the Her Wild Vision initiative.
