Spider Web, 2021
Kiskunság National Park, Hungary
Category - Into the forest
Beavers have disappeared in almost all parts of Europe due to human activity. But, since the beginning of the 21st century, we have seen a spectacular expansion of beavers, which are among the few animals to have been able to regain their native territories, thanks to measures to protect the species and its habitat. However, this photograph’s uniqueness lies more in the presence of the spiderweb, which is made most ephemeral by the largest European rodent’s reappearance.
