Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
Category - Humanity versus Nature
Every year thousands of people from all over the world visit the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Africa. Many cars drive along the tracks every day to see the animals, especially the cats, which are very popular. On the day I took this photo, a group of lions were lounging at the park’s entrance, attracting many visitors. Despite the number of vehicles the lions did not seem to be disturbed and were enjoying their shade. From this angle however the scene seems surreal, with this lion, free and wild, yet haggard in the middle of the tourist vehicles.
