This photograph was taken during a massive underwater clean-up by the freedivers’ association “Opération Mer Propre” (Clean-Sea Operation), which is committed to preserving and rehabilitating the seabed, but also lakes and rivers, by collecting waste while diving. This team of former spearfishermen, which now hunts marine trash instead of fish, meets regularly for underwater clean-ups and organises awareness-raising campaigns on this theme.
