Large wild animals, such as elephants, often enter populated areas when they cannot find enough food in the jungle. The elephant is an animal that I really enjoy photographing. When I visited this village in Bankura district, the men were hunting elephants by throwing fireballs at them, narrowly missing burning the baby elephant. Witnessing this cruel scene, I wanted to share my emotion and bear witness to the conflict that still exists, in many places and circumstances, between humans and nature.
