“I was photographing a group of female Red Deer for about 30 minutes until I began to wonder where the stag was. Obviously with any large group of female Deer, there’s always a large stag in control, watching over them all as they graze. After looking through the camera, trying to see if I could see anything I eventually spotted the stag right up the back, hiding in some dead ferns. The funny thing was that he was looking straight at me. No doubt he spotted me long before I had spotted him.“
